At home with Chiku

Published by reshmac under General, Just Trisha!

I am at home with parents and little chiku (till my niece’s naming ceremony scheduled next week, I have the priviledge of calling her by any name I like). When I was planning my trip to home, I had a very fancy agenda which included shopping, eating out, beauty treatments, movies and lots of reading, driving. But for past almost a week, I have hardly gone out, just dont feel like moving around because I dont want to miss any new expression or movement of my dear chiku. All my friends must be furious as I havent even informed anyone about my arrival, I needed this time only for myself and parents. Everything is just the way I had left, even the yellow curtains in my room smell the same.

Yesterday I went to the Computer book shop to get some books for the spring semester and my shoe heels broke on the way (Dear didi doesnt know I wore her high heels) but there is always a brighter side to everything, bought a brand new pair of sleek sandles at Metro showroom :). They certainly have a great collection of shoes and bags, wanted to buy atleast 3-4 but managed to pacify the greed. Even at the book shop I bought a book which I would never need , but the look and feel was impossible to resist.

Little about the goodbyes at work: We had a great going away party at Uno grill(yes It was me who had underrated the eatery). But this time I tried the most amazing mango ice tea and stir fried chicken and the company indeed added stars to the luncheon.

Not just another week

Published by reshmac under General, I recommend, It's my life

As I was sipping my creamy coffee and enjoying the sigh of relief after a successful ( :) ) code review at work, was imagining the perfect plan for the perfect weekend, this thought never even stuck my mind that I wouldn’t be in a position to leave the house for 2 days!!!! Yes pch pch..poor me :(, on the way back home when we stopped for a quick snacky break, my index finger stuck in the car door, I would have put a picture of the smashed finger but believe me readers it is not a worthy sight to look at :( but see brave me typing with the left hand. This is what we call loyal net addicts!! But as always I am so thankful to god for blessing me with great souls around, when I see my roomies offering me breakfast to dinner in bed, Shreyas coming home with a bunch of dvds and my favorite maple machiato and many more such gestures, I am nothing but overwhelmed!! I am sure I would recover in no time with so much love around me!

World is flat

As I am having a lazy saturday evening in the bed, my best company is the new book recommended by miss PHD “The world is flat” by Thomas Friedman. I have just started reading this book so more about the review in following posts but so far it has been a good reading experience, the concept of globalization is put forward in an interesting way by the writer. Plus it’s a three times winner of the Pulitzer prize so I assume that it should be worth the attempt.

In this last week at EMC, I have to catch up with the task of implementation of Java web start and a little tweaking of my last project, then I will be all set for my India trip. If you readers are still worried about my finger, let me assure you that I am a brave and a strong girl and the left hand still does a fabulous job as I could type this post withot any hassles :).
