Rustic me!
If you are tired of monotonous routine and wish to revitalize your life, pack your backpacks and drive to white mountains. I spent a rocking long weekend at white mountains, New Hampshire State, just a few hours north of Boston. It was one of those trips organized by Harsh where you don’t have to worry about anything but to pack your bags(even the list of things to carry in the bag was dictated by Mr. Organizer and like any kindergarten I followed the list blindly). Our first destination was the Flume Gorge in Franconia state park, which is a 2 miles walking trail. The flume was a spectacular view and the trail was a road by the waterfall, I enjoyed the trail because it wasn’t an intense hike but a pleasurable uphill and downhill loop.

Later we went to our campground and set the tents, barbeques and fire, yes we all made a lavish and mouth watering Indian meal which included paneer tikka, barbeque chicken, pavbhaji, pulao and paneer pakodas and we ate sitting by the fire. What I really liked about the campground was, it gave me a rustic effect without causing any inconvenience. Next morning when I got up and came out of the tent, saw my friends playing volleyball and me not being a morning person, preferred to go for a walk by the river. What more can I ask for when I had a hot coffee in my hand and bench to sit by the river, I so needed such time to just revive myself. Though I like crowd around me, I also cherish these quiet moments just by myself.
Then we decided to go for mountain biking(the only outdoor activity I THOUGHT I was good at) and that is when my oh so perfect trip took a different turn. while going through a deep downhill, I lost control of the bike, the gears were set wrong, to make it worse I forced sudden breaks and the rest is a history :(. Following picture is the one clicked before the accident, where the overconfident me was flaunting the silly pink helmet. Later the gray jacket was full of mud and god knows if I would be able to use it again.
But I not being a spoiled sport, joined the group driving to the summit of Mount Washington, the highest peak in American northeast. The place is also famous for its notorious weather and we experienced a sudden change in the weather at the peak, but the view at the top literally took our breath away and we fought the biting cold and enjoyed the nature’s magnificence.
And this one covers everyone(except Shreyas who clicked the picture) participated, laughed, got injured(read as me), argued, amazed in these two days, after a year from now, all of them might be dispersed but we would always remember the golden days spent together.
